His Holiness Daniel, the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, ordained that on Sunday, 20 April 2008, at the Great Feast of the "Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem," the Most Reverend Archimandrite PhD Mihail Filimon, the administrative icar of the Archdiocese of Bucharest, be consecrated as the first diocesan Bishop in the newly established Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of Australia and New Zealand.
